# Trezor Suite Update: Longer Passphrases, Arc Network, and Expanded

Trezor has rolled out a significant update to Trezor Suite, headlined by a major security enhancement: passphrases can now be up to 128 characters long, more than doubling the previous 50-character limit. This change, available in Suite version 26.10.2 for mobile and 26.10.3 for desktop, requires the latest device firmware to take effect .

The passphrase expansion arrives in the wake of the Coldcard firmware vulnerability disclosed earlier this year, which compromised seed randomness on affected devices. Trezor explicitly connected the update to lessons from that incident, noting that users with strong, unique passphrases were protected because attackers needed both the weak seed and the passphrase to access funds. While Trezor devices themselves were not affected by the Coldcard flaw, the company used the occasion to offer users a longer secret as an additional layer of defense . It is worth emphasizing that a passphrase remains an advanced feature; losing or mistyping it means losing access to the funds in that hidden wallet, and users should treat it with the same care as their recovery seed .

Beyond the passphrase limit, the October update introduces support for the Arc EVM network, a Layer-1 blockchain launched by Circle, the company behind USDC. Users can now add an Arc account, send and receive USDC and other Arc tokens, and track balances directly within Suite. Because Arc uses the same address format as Ethereum but operates as a separate network, users must verify the network before sending funds and keep a small amount of USDC for fees .

Trading functionality also received meaningful upgrades. Trade history can now be exported as a CSV file, complete with trade IDs, dates, amounts, networks, providers, statuses, and transaction IDs—a practical addition for users who need records for tax or accounting purposes . The trade form itself has been refreshed with improved performance, and Bitcoin can now be swapped to EVM chains including Ethereum, Avalanche, and BNB Smart Chain through LI.FI . On mobile, the Send flow for Cardano (ADA) and native tokens is now fully supported, and users can swap Bitcoin directly from the mobile app .

Soroban-based tokens on Stellar (SEP-41 standard) received improved support, allowing users to receive them, view transactions, attach memos, and track custom tokens. The receive flow now begins with an asset search rather than an account list, streamlining the process of locating the right asset . Several bug fixes accompany these features, including corrections to Suite Sync label export behavior, startup issues, Solana reconnection problems when using many accounts, and fiat rate ticker display when rates are filtered out .

Updates roll out in stages, so some users may not see the prompt immediately. Those eager to test new features before wider release can enable the Early Access Program in Application Settings .
